Campaign - Employment Opportunities For Underprivileged Women

Creating 1,000 direct employment opportunities for underprivileged women as Pre-School teachers.

Created Date 11 July 2024

This project aims to empower underprivileged women by creating employment opportunities for 1,000 Plus 2 pass-out women as pre-school teachers. The pre-primary sector is rapidly growing, and there is a high demand for Montessori-trained teachers, which the current market supply cannot meet.

Phase 1: Training Program

  • Target Group: 100 women who are either BPL graduates or Plus 2 pass-outs, with priority given to tribal or SC women.
  • Course Duration: 1 year
  • Curriculum: The program includes a comprehensive one-year diploma course focusing on personality development, language skills, interview techniques, and office management skills.
  • Program cost: Per student expected cost is 45,000 for one year course and further employment assistance.

Objectives:

  1. Equip BPL women, particularly those who are graduates or have completed Plus 2, with the skills needed to become pre-school teachers.
  2. Provide priority to tribal or SC women in the training program.

Outcomes:

  • Skill Development: Participants will gain valuable skills in teaching, personal development, and professional conduct.
  • Employment: The program will offer direct placement, connecting trained teachers with schools, thus ensuring sustainable employment opportunities.

By addressing the gap in the availability of trained pre-school teachers and providing targeted support to underprivileged women, this project aims to uplift communities and promote education from the ground up.
